Eric Stanglin and The Juke Joint Heroes - "Whistling Past the Graveyard"

Oklahoma native Eric Stanglin has been playing and shouting the blues since he first picked up a guitar and found an old medicine bottle to use as a slide. A long-time resident of the Czech Republic, Eric formed The Juke Joint Heroes in autumn 2010 after meeting fiery young guitarist Jiri Marsicek and veteran bassist Jan Cisar at a jam session in Prague. After trying out a succession of drummers, the band finally found the right man for the job in Jan Podzimek, one of the Czech Republic's top drummers. Together, Eric Stanglin and the Juke Joint Heroes have played dozens of shows over the past couple of years, recorded their debut album Whistling Past the Graveyard in 2012 and continue to build their fanbase in Prague and beyond.
