We've long been following this band, the three brothers from Connecticut were founded in 2010 when they were eleven, nine, and seven, When they made thier debut in 2013 at the Couch by Couchwest Festival, the staff appropriated them as their own and they lit up the festival as attendees far and wide sung their praise. Returning for the next three years they shared a continued growth and maturity with an enthusiastic audience, earning a coveted CXCW Blue Ribbon There is Hope for the Future Award.
The Foresters continue to deliver outstanding modern Rock n Roll, Building on the past with fresh ears, eyes and unbridled talent. Even at their age this will be the last time I reference them as a young band they've established themselves as a force to be reckoned with, in their home state, and beyond.
Seasoned, sophisticated music writing, mad musical skills they've plowed through pop, punk, rock and experimental on past records developing a style and sound uniquely their own.
Their NEW Album 'Sun Songs' scheduled for worldwide release on July 21st finds the trio at the top of their game (so far) apparently they are only limited by their own imagination and drive.
The album is available for pre-order through the Dord Music Group and digitally via Bandcamp
The record release show on July 18th will be a celebration of all the hard work and creativity that went into making the album a reality. All proceeds from tickets sold will be donated directly to Lyric Hall, helping the venue continue to support the thriving New Haven arts community. In addition to The Foresters, the lineup features Connecticut Music Award “Best New Band” finalists, l o o m, and Batkhi Dahn. There will be advanced copies of the album and limited edition commemorative posters exclusively at the show. Anyone who wants the latest and greatest is invited join the party! Presale tickets, including a discounted bundle, are available now
The second single from the record 'Machine' drops tomorrow June 16th but I'm proud to be able to present it here for your listening pleasure.
'Machines', hard driven by thick bass, wickedly wild drum flourishes and tight harmonies and vocals, will have you bouncing in your seat, or Jimmie jumping up and down and singing along, a perfect summer blasting down the highway song. The ear-worm on this one is strong.
