As a singer songwriter/storyteller Sydney based Alt-Country Troubadour, Darren Cross comes across as the real deal. The songs for the No Damage EP come from reflections on the road as he traveled around Southern America on Greyhound buses for 5 weeks finding songs and memories along the way.
Plying his trade in the with Gerling and the duo Jep & Dep (debut album out soon!) stripped down to a man and his guitar he is now writing and recording under his own name his songs are heartfelt, alt-country that draw from the masters. Honesty, stark and raw emotiveness and an innate sense of melody are some of the ingredients that populate his songs. Influenced by Early Dylan, Neil Young ,Townes Van Zandt, John Prine and early Steve Earle. Written, recorded and produced By Darren himself.
