Josh Moss, The Modern Folk is one of those artists, heavily
influenced by early American folk music, 70's songwriters such as Neil Young,
Bob Dylan, John Prine and Townes Van Zandt, artsy power pop such as Bill
Fox/The Mice, Alex Chilton/Big Star and Guided By Voices, and lofi/bedroom
recording pioneers such as Alexander "Skip" Spence and R. Stevie
Moore.
He states is ‘My only real goal with my music is to have people listen to it, which is why I post it as "name your own price" on bandcamp but encourage those who enjoy it to download it for free.’
