Exclusive First Listen Cupla’s NEW Single BomB
Vancouver's Cupla launch a massive new rocker - BomB, with some recent line-up changes, and some hard lessons learned in the last year the band has evolved with a harder edge, wailing guitar riffs, more attitude and an explosive sound that fits well with Tricia’s edgy vocals.
Recorded a Bill’s home studio ‘BuckWheat Studios’ in Vancouver and fully produced by the band they are taking the bull by the horns, torpedo’s be damned full speed ahead with a new EP set to drop in the very near future. I've long been a fan and admire what the did with thier 'My Stand' anti bulling campaign and I am absolutely digging on this new direction, hats off to set backs conquered and perseverance.
The new single is available on iTunes

The Drug Wars are a political joke and have hurt and unnecessarily incarcerated millions of Americans for too long. The Marihuana Tax Act of 1937 was a travesty...a mistake...propaganda...Check out my new song..share it...Legalize Marijuana NOW! Stop proliferation of private prisons. Stop the hypocrisy of the Federal Government from incarcerating people for fallacious Marijuana laws, while at the same time providing legal protection for deadly pharmaceutical drugs that kill hundreds of thousands of people every year.Ellen has a NEW Release coming out in 2014, grab a free download of Who's the Pusher Now?

Marshall Artz - To Be Continued
Friends since high school, Brad Marshall and Kevin Artz began playing music together while students at James Madison University, now as Marshall Artz they are a powerful guitar duo performing a distinctive original blend of americana and blues forged together in a powerful acoustic style. Brad Marshall on lead, rhythm, and slide guitar and Kevin Artz on rhythm and fingerstyle guitar, vocals and harmonica. Brad’s background in rock and blues meets with Kevin’s background in folk, folk-rock and bluegrass to create an original and dynamic acoustic sound. Their performances blend two guitars into a rhythmic and melodic mix that suggests a full band rather than just two guitars. Their forth release 'To Be Continued' is their statement that they expect to keep playing music together for a long time to come.
From an interview with Kevin Adler Takoma Park Folk Festival:
TPFF: How would you describe your sound?
Artz: We play folk, rock, and blues. We have always wanted our sound to be as full as possible, even though we’re not playing with a drummer or bass. Hence, the Martin guitars we use. Brad does lead guitar and slide, and it combines with me doing rhythm and fingerstyle guitar, plus vocals.
Marshall: I very rarely play the same chords or same rhythm as Kevin. The two of us are playing on different parts of the fret board…and it gives us a deeper sound.

Mark Pickerel and His Praying Hands - Tess
When I see a quote like this about a musician, I take notice.
"The album takes on the aura of a David Lynch flick situated in the middle of a West Texas dance hall. [It} approaches a condition of Old Testament-style gloom and doom." Harp MagazineThe album lives up to that quote, noirish, dark and theatrically haunting the songs linger long in your mind like snippets of seductive dreams.
His voice, alluring and just a little bit sinister, evinces his influences ranging from Leonard Cohen, Lee Hazlewood, the Gun Club, the Stranglers and Nick Cave.
