Star Anna - Debut Solo 'Go To Hell' Releases September 24

Star Anna growls 'my love will haunt you' on 'Power of My Love, on this debut solo release her voice will haunt you. Her fourth album, 'Go To Hell' leaves behind her long time band The Laughing Dogs, partnering with Tye Baille as band leader, co writer, producer and takes another step away from her beginnings as an Ellensburg sidewalk busker and alt country ingĂ©nue, reaching deep into blues Star emerges anguished and riveting with captivating impassioned vocals as she sings of real life experiences, pain and hardship.
"I was surprised by how I was able to push myself vocally," she says proudly.  "When the guys would say, 'Ok, that was good, but go do it again and just let loose,' I'd think, 'well, fine, fuck you.  I thought that was great.  You'll see.  I just can't do better.'  But, somehow I was always able to pull it out."She continues, "It was nice to be able to focus on just the vocals and let the rest of the guys worry about the music."
Two big firsts for Star on Go To Hell is the inclusion of covers, including Tom Waits' "Come On Up to The House," and co-writing with someone that wasn't in the band, her friend Shane Tutmarc, a Nashville-based singer-songwriter, The song "Let Me Be," which was co-written with Tutmarc, has some of the album's most significant lyrics for Star.
Star Anna, counts the likes of Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready and Guns ‘n’ Roses original Duff McKagan, as fans. Duff McKagan wrote of her singing, "She is the real deal. There is a pain in her voice that comes from somewhere deep, a place I dare not ask where it comes from."  Nicole Brodeur of the Seattle Times described her as having "a voice full of bluster that will slam the door behind you, then find itself alone to take in the loneliness, the quiet, the beauty."

“For Anyone,” is a semi-grungy blues rocker.  The title track, “Go To Hell,” which is a lot like a neo-”House of the Rising Sun.”  These two songs, along with “Younger Than,” which is a powerful tale of a messed-up childhood, “Let Me Be” and “Power of my Love” anchor the  album’s overall alt-blues compositions. ”Mean Kind of Love” features an old-school country vibe. The Tom Waits cover ”Come Up to the House” features Tye Baille with some powerful honky tonk piano. “Smoke Signals” is an outright rocker.  “Everything You Know” is a sweeping atmospheric ballad.

"She is a tinderbox waiting to explode. All she needs is the right spark. We just hope that by sharing these words, video and especially that voice, the right people will get to hear her." - Brian More Amazing Radio Instore

Drop Top Lincoln - Sixxx Dollar Suit

Scotty Waters - Lead Vocals, Harmonica
Casey Smart - Lead Guitar, Slide Guitar, Harmonica, Banjo
Chris Howard -Bass guitar, Vocals
Jack Chipchase -Drums

I’m a motor mayhem hooligan, I’ve sang love songs to my cars, some of my best dates have been just me and the highway.  Drop Top Lincoln debut album 'Sixxx Dollar Suit' is knuckle busting garage and cruising music, so while you're bench racing, wrenching on old bones or thundering down the highway or just plain pounding down some cold ones grab your crew and blast this excellent band!

Drop Top Lincoln is not a country band, but rather country boys that rock. The DTL sound is a mixture of many of the band’s influences. With roots tangled in with blues legends like Buddy Guy and Muddy Waters, and the pulse of the Rolling Stones; the band began exploring the emergence of the red dirt country sound. One of the bands major songwriting influences, Ray Wylie Hubbard, may have coined a phrase that best describes the DTL sound: “Grit and Grind”.

Cool Fact: Casey Smart, is also the owner of a 1978 Lincoln Continental that his grandfather once owned. That inspired the name of the band and brings them lyrical contributions, riffs of blues and jazz from slide and lead guitars, the banjo, and steel, slicing finish of the harmonica.

Paul Saint John - Debut 'Eleventeen'

Originally from the East Coast of Scotland (he was a founding member of the UK folk-rock group, The Cottonfield), now based out of Philadelphia, Paul Saint John is a one man band, his debut album – 'Eleventeen' (as his kids learned to count to twenty each one of them counted  9,10, eleventeen 12, 13, etc) is interspersed with harmonica throughout the album, John’s crisp unique vocals used at times as call and response and his rhythmic guitar that he works as a drum beat create the sound of a robust band.  Scottish folk lies just under the surface of his songwriting as simple things in life oft overlooked anchor his story telling.
The opening track ‘All the Kings Horses’ is an earworm that immediately pulls you in and you’re hooked, “Raining Cats and Dogs” finds its groove somewhere between Dylan and John Prine, and is propelled with a forcefully strummed acoustic guitar and a bright harmonica adds detail. “Pillars of Hercules” shows a gentler side, and its ‘60s coffee-house ambience brings to mind Fred Neil and Buckley Sr. The album ends with “I'm Dr Jekyll, Mr Hyde” – its rolling structure is incredibly appealing, and lodges itself firmly in the part of the brain that appreciates that sort of thing. you’ll keep coming back to this album for multiple listens.
