Hey Mavis - Honey Man

Laurie Michelle Caner~vocals and banjo
Brent Kirby~vocals, guitar, kick drum, harmonica
Eddie Caner~fiddle, bad jokes
Bryan Thomas~bass and percussion

Ohio's Hey Mavis is the husband-and-wife team of Laurie Michelle Caner (banjo/vocals/songwriting) and Ed Caner (fiddle/viola). With the addition of Brent Kirby (guitar/vocals/kick drum/harmonica) and Bryan Thomas (upright bass/Chank-o-matic 6000), Hey Mavis has become a runaway freight train that's caught on fire.  Songs that capture the endless light of love, the beauty and heartache of motherhood and the fleeting nature of time... rhythms that rock the baby to sleep and get everyone else on their feet...solos that soar and vocals that always leave the audience wanting more.

In 2012, Hey Mavis earned a performance on the main stage of the Telluride Bluegrass Festival as a finalist in the annual Planet Bluegrass band competition.

With songs that effortlessly float from softly orchestrated lullabies to raw and raucous love songs, the music of Hey Mavis is best described as “Appalachian Americana”. Their lyrics focus heavily on the beautiful imagery of life, the joy and labor of raising children, and the timeless themes of love and heartbreak.
“Wrapped in original songs whose styles range from old timey to jazzy to blistering alt rock, Laurie's voice turns from cold steel to melted butter in the time it takes your heart to break."
~ Don Dixon, key producer of the jangle pop movement

Vagabond & Tramp - Wanderlust EP

Vagabond & Tramp > Genres: Americana - Transitory Art Folk, Rockin' Americana
Sometimes the thing that catches my eye before my ear is a great band name, add to that a wimsical bio and you've grabbed may attention, the added bonus is when the music is great, and this is. Lady Vagabond's  honeyed vocals and Mr. Tramp's smooth crooning create wonderful harmonies together, with well-crafted arrangements, and skillfull  musicianship, Wanderlust is a most enjoyable EP.

Bio:
Lady Zelda Calliope Vagabond met Mister Dante Philadelphius Tramp in 1924, in an opium den in Shanghai. He was barely standing, propped up against the toilet wall, whispering nonsense and occasionally giggling to himself, while attempting to urinate. Lady Vagabond took an interest in the poor devil and decided to help him out. She nursed him to health and brought him to a Himalayan monastery where he studied yoga magic while she meditated for a year and a day. The two discovered a magic map of time and space in a cave then proceeded on the wild adventures that are the subject of these songs.

Helldorado - Bones In The Closet

Morten Jackman - Drums
Dag Vagle - Guitar & Vocals
Hans Wassvik - Bass
Hellhorns:
Ole Ellingsen - Trumpet,
Jon Eirik Steinstoe - Trumpet & Keyboard

From Stavanger, Norway, Helldorado consists of Morten Jackman (Drums) Dag Vagle (Guitar & vocals) and Hans Wassik (bass).
These three musicians like the world of Sergio Leone, Robert Rodriguez and David Lynch and you can feel in their music.  Helldorado presents cinematic music inspired by Morricone and Tarrantino, epic and dramatic murder ballads, Americana, and Rock Noir with a flare for B-movies ala Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill! Horn sections are added like habanero peppers to an open wound. Under the open sky, and across hot desert landscapes, the faithless characters of Helldorado’s world burn holes in our souls.
They draw on a strong tradition of combining blues, country, rock and hardboiled crime. Murder, prison, crime, confession, remorse and punishment runs like a dark stream from the music of Johnny Cash, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Nick Cave and Stan Ridgeway among others. Helldorado brings this tradition into the new century by giving you the music, colours, smells and atmosphere usually connected with the image of southern USA and Mexico.

The Sideshow Tragedy - Persona

Nathan Singleton - vox, resonator
Jeremy Harrell-  drums

The Sideshow Tragedy: in addition to continuing their tireless, never-ending tour of The United States, the band also completed their first European tour and released a new record, Persona. Recorded and produced by Austin TX funk outfit T Bird and the Breaks, the LP is the Austin, TX duo’s rawest, bluesiest, dirtiest offering to date.
The Sideshow Tragedy burns up stages with blues-damaged garage rock and roll...ancient resonator guitars played through an array of effects boxes backed by a kick ass kit master and percussionist, topped with R&B drenched vocals and dark, poetic lyrics.

Persona> Raunchous rhythmic rompus old school rock and roll badassery.
