The Modern Folk - American Cave

One of the joys I get doing this blog is highlighting the DIYers' out there, the people pursuing their passions on a shoe string and with any means at their disposal, perhaps at the back of their minds is making something come of it but willing to just put it all out there for the love of their craft.
Josh Moss, The Modern Folk is one of those artists, heavily influenced by early American folk music, 70's songwriters such as Neil Young, Bob Dylan, John Prine and Townes Van Zandt, artsy power pop such as Bill Fox/The Mice, Alex Chilton/Big Star and Guided By Voices, and lofi/bedroom recording pioneers such as Alexander "Skip" Spence and R. Stevie Moore.
He states is ‘My only real goal with my music is to have people listen to it, which is why I post it as "name your own price" on bandcamp but encourage those who enjoy it to download it for free.’

While that is mighty fine of him, musicians like Josh, deserve any loose bills you can spare to help them continue the dream. American Cave captures the spirit of the creative process the young talented dreamers out there strive for. Have a listen and support.
