Bio:
A Denver based 6 piece chamber-pop band that features ukulele, tuba, trombone, clarinet, glockenspiel, drums, and synth. Adjectives used to describe the band include: sepia-chord, indie-pan alley, and melancholy Brechtian carnival rock. The Gadabout Orchestra is a Denver favorite, having headlined all major venues and supported a variety of national acts. Band leader Aaron "Loki" Johnson has also toured the country as a burlesque/cirque/sideshow MC. He was worked with sword swallowers, a fire breathing Midget, and has MCed for Dita Von Tease, among others. He is considered one of the pioneers of the current ukulele revival, having promoted the instrument since 2000.
