After traveling China, Japan, Indonesia, India, Peru, Nepal with his guitar as a passport Dave Borins returned to Toronto, with the voice of a comforting wizened sage and his fierce energy he has become a fixture in the Toronto Indie scene playing solo and with a rotating cast of rock and string band players.
His aptly titled latest release 'The Room Lights Up' was recorded live at Hugh’s Room and produced by Chris Stringer (Timber Timbre, Wooden Sky, Obijou) and mixed and mastered in Vancouver by Juno Award winning producer and musician Steve Dawson.
Dave had the brilliant idea of having a show to record and fund the pressing of his new album. On everyone’s table was a form to fill out, which included a place for your suggestion of what his new album should be titled.
