Now they've got another one coming up: Only in Dreams, the jangle-rockers' sophomore full-length, which will drop September 27 on Sub Pop. Psychedelic Garage Pop Punk

I really groove on the late sixties garage bands, the best compilation in my album collection is the Rhino Records Nuggets Collection.  I listen to it all the time. It's great to find bands that tackle that genre these days. One I particularly like these days is Galileo 7 from Medway UK. They have two albums out both released in 2010 the 3 song EP "Test Flight" and 14 song "Are we having fun yet?"

Run baby run by crojak

Never go back by crojak

Orangery Lane by crojak

Allan Crockford was an original member of ' Medway garage-rock legends' (c) The Prisoners, and also The Solarflares, JTQ, Stabilisers etc etc. The Galileo 7's debut album 'Are we having fun yet? is now available on Teen Sound Records (Misty Lane)

Biography
As a member of such semi-legends as the Prisoners, The Solarflares, JTQ, Thee Headcoats and more recently The Stabilisers (amongst a much longer list), Allan Crockford has played an important if low-key part in establishing the Medway area's reputation as a hotbed for spirited, uncompromising garage rock with a strong DIY ethic. Playing with such Medway notables as Billy Childish, James Taylor and Graham Day his reputation was as the reliable sideman for more flamboyant figures. Now he has found a late flowering talent for writing his own material.
The Galileo 7 were formed to play the songs he had been storing up for the last 3 or 4 years. While the band still has the trademark punk ('66 and '76 versions) fire and energy that marks out the Medway sound, there are extra elements in the music that shifts it away from the trademark crashbangwhallop... call it pop-psych, punkadelic, powerpop or whatever you like. If it's energy you're after you won't be disappointed, but there are also tunes and harmonies by the bucketload to guarantee that these songs hang around in your head long after the initial sonic impact has faded.

ZELAZOWA - "Love is Lunacy"

Philly's band of brothers, ZELAZOWA released their third full length album "Love is Lunacy" in April and has put two songs off the album on line for free download.

These four Philly guys have preformed in 48 states and 16 countries without record label support or corporate sponsorship. With that experience they took Independent to a new level, in 2008 they launched the best Independent artist resource in the world, Indie on the move a 100% free music venue database and tour booking resource.

The new album is culmination of their road wisdom, experience and maturity as a band, the songs are crisp and melodic and have that quality of technical perfection that has marked all of their albums. The highlight of the album for me is the harmonic "Junkie Got Soul" it has the sound of a homage to the great Philly Do-Wop artists of the 50's and early 60's,

For "Love is Lunacy" they teamed up with Philadelphia producer Steven LaFashia (Jealousy Curve)
Band Members:
Bryan Weber - Vocals, Guitars
Ian Sharkey - Vocals, Bass
Kyle Weber - Lead Guitar
Terry Sharkley - Drums, Backing Vocals

"Elephants on a Mousehunt" -released 1/17/2009

Debut EP Release by Flor Zabala

Self described Argentine Psycho Banshee Flor Zabala has collaborated with producer David Pattillo of Bang Bang Boogaloo to release her debut EP The Zabalas

I had the great fortune of seeing an impromptu performance of Flor with The Dead Exs at The Sulfolk, this young lady serves up a song with hot grease and lightning, there is a saying "The lady can belt out a song" well Flor uses that belt and whips the pants off a song.

The three songs are quite simply upside your head Rock and Roll.
